MotoGP Silverstone Review

This weekend the MotoGP paddock headed to Silverstone after 2 crazy races in Austrian Hills. Across all 3 classes there were battles galore for the fans.

Repsol Honda's Pol Espargaro took pole position for the 3rd time in his career but some of the light was took of him as rookie Jorge Martin did a lap that was to good to be true and indeed it was. Martin had gained around a second through the chicane heading onto the Hamilton Straight by cutting the corner and using an alternative slip road. Therefore there was cheers all round for Pol Espargaro who had been struggling on his factory Honda in 2021.

The race commenced at 1pm UK time with 8 Time Champion Marc Marquez crashing into Martin with a risky move going into club corner. Quartararo who had dropped back initially flew past any rider in his way on route to the top step of the podium.

2nd was Alex Rins on the Suzuki taking his first podium of the season the 2019 winner beating out Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro taking the Italian Manufacturers 1st premier class podium since returning to the sport.

In 4th position was Aussie Jack Miller on the Ducati followed by polesitter Pol Espargaro. Behind in 6th place was Brad Binder who charged through the pack from 12th. Valentino Rossi who qualified 8th dropped like a stone to finish 18th ahead of Debutant Jake Dixon.
